Hooked on Houses Tour - Celebrity Style

Welcome!

You're just in time for the Hooked on Houses Tour Blog Party. Come on in.

For my home tour, I'll be featuring the Spanish hacienda-style house of Dylan McDermott, which was just put on the market. If you're not familiar with Dylan, he's an actor who's played roles in tv shows such as The Practice, and more recently, Big Shots.

But it's not those roles I think of when I see him. When I see Dylan, I remember the lovable and kind-hearted attorney he played in the remake of Miracle on 34th Street. Wasn't he sweet?

About his house: To me, it's gorgeous. And apparently other folks think so, too. Prior owners include Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, as well as Michelle Pfeiffer and her husband, tv producer David Kelley.

This house includes 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, has a valley/canyon view, and is listed for $11 million.

Come with me while we take a peek!

(For more information, check out the MLS listing.)

And there you have it!

My favorite parts of the house are the kitchen (love the color of the cabinetry) and the guest bedroom (the iron bed with the crisp, white bedding). All of it's quite lovely, though.

What about you? What's your favorite room or feature?

Thanks for visiting the Hooked on Houses tour! If you'd love to see more beautiful homes, make sure to check out Julia's blog.

P.S. I'll be announcing a special giveaway sometime this week, as soon as we get it all worked out. So be sure to come back for a visit!

This is a GREAT tour! I love seeing celebrity homes. It doesn't look like the typical "famous house," though, does it? It looks much more comfortable and lived in, which is refreshing. I like it. Those doors at the top of the post are amazing!

Thanks for joining the blog party. I'll be back for that giveaway! -Julia :-)

My favorite feature is the gate that leads to the pool and then that fountain is wonderful.

I remember him from that remake movie, too!

Please stop by my blog and check out my open house if you can!

I totally love the guest room, too, and if I were a baby I wouldn't mind that being my crib (in both the baby bed, and hipster home sense!).

Love that you offered a peek inside a celeb's home. Nice work! I am so loving this Hooked on Houses tour.

I love the architecture of this house...the furnishings make it all a bit too dark and heavy for me, but I love the bones of it. I agree with Julia that the house looks quite comfy. Thanks for sharing this lovely tour!
